Crafting Tara

I have been extremely stressed with everything (it feels like) adding on all at once. So to keep my mind off things Jason told me I should really pick my hobby of crafting back up again. Luckily Jason is home to help with all the wood cutting and I have kept him quiet busy. Here's a few of the crafts that i finished in a few days. I still have a few that I am working on, and it is helping me quiet a bit.

I still have a love sign, xoxo letters, a kite, flip flops, parker's blankets for his bed and curtains for his windows to make. This will hopefully keep me occupied for the next 4 weeks until baby Emma is due.

Lately Parker has been very attached to me and very rarely let's me out of his sight. So the past few nights he had even decided to take on the task of being my assistant while making dinner. Be absolutely LOVES pizza so making dinner that night he loved. You have to understand that Parker is very hard to get to eat dinner, so I was completely impressed that since he helps me, he actually eats all his dinner.

I am extremely blessed to have 3 wonderful boys (and a fabulous husband). A girl couldn't ask for better blessings than these.

Making memories with Emma

We recently had a visit with some wonderful ladies from the organization called "Angel Watch". They have been very helpful with everything since we found out about our little angel Emma. They encouraged me to "make memories with the boys involving Emma". So one day after school we decided that Emma wanted oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. So we made them, or i should say the boys made them and Emma (with mom eating them) ate the cookies. The boys had a blast. Some of the pictures are sideways (sorry) but you'll still get the point.

Parker finally decided to join in on the fun and did the best he could to put the cookie dough on the sheet.

It was a fun thing to do with my boys that they will hopefully remember for years to come. Needless to say once the cookies were cooked, many of them didn't last long. They never do in our house!!!

First snow fall of 2012

My boys are just like their dad and love the snow, if only Jason was home to play in it with them. We woke up one morning to a lot of snow, and once we ate breakfast, I bundled the kids up and let them have some fun. Parker absolutely loves being able to be in the snow. The only downside is that Parker couldn't tell where our grass ended and the road began, because the snow plows plow our road last because it's a cul-de-sac. So I had to yell to him a few times to get out of the middle of the road. But boy did they have fun.

Jason has been keeping busy earning some money by cutting down some big trees lately. Here is just one of the tree's that he and a friend named Bryan were cutting down. 4 boys instead of 3

Sometimes I truely believe that I have 4 "boys" instead of a husband and 3 boys. Why do you ask?? Jason is so much like a big kid it's funny. I set up a car ctrack that Connor got for Christmas and Jason was down on the floor enjoying it 10 times more than the kids. It was funny. The boys love it when dad does fun stuff like this with them. So I just had to take a few pictures!

A few days after Christmas my parents took my brother's family and my boys and I to a place called Hardware ranch. It is where you can go out on a wagon ride pulled by some huge horses to see all the Elk that has come down for the winter. My boys loved it because you never get to see an elk that close and it was a new experience for them.

Everyone opening gifts.

Opening gifts on Christmas is always fun and hectic. Connor and Wyatt hand out the gifts and they open their gifts as they go. Since being married this way of opening is new. My family growing up took turns opening one gifts at a time so you were able to see what everyone got. Jason's family just opens all their gifts at once. So this is one Christmas tradition that Jason wanted to keep. Which is okay because I get to have other traditions I like. So once all the paper is picked up then it's easier to see. Jason is just like the boys and is so excited to see what he gets. It's seriously like having four little boys!!!

Christmas this year was fun at home. I will admit that I did break down and cry while we were getting ready to head out. This year has been one of a lot of downs for our little family, and I think the stress of the holidays finally got to me. But thankfully after talking to my wonderful husband everything seemed to improve. I just think some of the things revolving around Christmas will change next year!! Here's to hoping 2012 will be a great year.

I can't begin to tell you how excited Wyatt has been since I told him he was accepted into Pre-school. He immediatly asked when we could go school shopping. He saw his brother Connor get to go school shopping and couldn't wait. So he was able to get new shoes, a couple pairs of pants and new shirts. He was mad at me the first day of school because he didn't want his toy story backpack. He really wanted a Spiderman one. But he went to his first day of school with his Toy Story one. He walked right in confident. I thought when I was about to leave he was going to cry but he just ran over to me and asked for one more hug and kiss. I can't believe my middle guy is in Preschool. Nana Cano saved the day on his second day of school by surprising him with a new Spiderman backpack. He couldn't be more excited about it. Thanks Mom!!! I still can't believe I have two kids in school. Wyatt goes three days a week from 1:30-3:30. I pick both boys up after school and they couldn't be happier to see one another. We really lucked out the Vae View has a preschool that Wyatt gets to attend and hopefully it will make the transition into kindergarten next year that much easier!! My babies are growing up too fast!!!!!!

One of those nights . . .

Tonight was definitly one of those nights when one thing happens, everything else happens. The boys were in the backyard playing and after awhile I could hear two of the kids crying. I went to check and I find Connor crying because (he says) "I'm so scared, my brother is bleeding from his eye!" I can see Parker but can't really see anything, but as he comes closer I see that he is bleeding from a huge goose egg right by his eye. I asked what happened and Wyatt replies "he got hit by my horse". I'm thinking, What horse? I ask how and he says the horses tail hit him. I get everyone inside and have Jason help me clean Parker up. Jason goes and talks to Wyatt while i'm still calming Parker down. It turns out that Wyatt was on the swingset "riding his horse" which is this bench looking swing, and Parker walked behind it and got hit "by the horses tail. But the fun doesn't stop there!! Next the boys were standing by our front storm door and Connor opened it and closed it, and Wyatt's finger gets smashed in the door. So now I have Wyatt crying because he's hurt, Connor's crying because he's scared from all the hurts and because he hurt Wyatt, and Parker is crying becasue everyone else is too. This all just makes me feel like such a great mom, NOT!! Way too much to happen in one night. Now all the boys are in bed sound asleep from their "tramatic" evening. Here's to hoping tomorrow will be a better day!!!

The past few weekends have been the archery hunt for Jason. This weekend I think was enough for him, only because he kept running into bears. He video taped one experience on our camera and he taped a bull elk (i think that's right) also that was literally real close to him. He said he was shaking so hard when he came upon the bear he taped. He quickly found a tree to climb into, but it wasn't a real tall tree. He said he was like only 8 feet from the ground and you could tell the bear could smell him as it was walking around. To make matters worse, the bear also had a cub with her also. Just that much more dangerous. So I thought I ought to post his videos on here.

I can't believe the day is finally here . . . Connor officially started Kindergarten today. I seriously don't feel old enough to have a son already in school . . . oh well, it was bound to happen sometime!!! Connor has honestly been ready for kindergarten since he turned 5 in February. The day I took him in for his kindergarten physical and shots he was so excited. He put on a brave face during shots and as we were leaving he kept trying to smile through the tears and kept saying "now I can go to kindergarten!" He couldn't be more adorable. All month of August his school had the kindergarteners come every day for 2 hours and work on things they'll learn, that way all the kids will be on the same page when school actually started. He absolutely loved this!!

Finally today came and he was so excited to finally be able to wear some of his new school clothes (he is so like his dad, because he LOVES anything new, just like Jason). He helped me pack his lunch box (which you'll see in pictures, it's a superman lunch box). He had to take a lunch from school because that's what he thinks going to school means. He has had his backpack out on the table all last week so he wouldn't lose it. He was ready to go by 8 am and he didn't need to be to school till 8:40am, he was that excited. We got into his class and he asked if he really needed to stay by me or if he could just go by himself to his table. He found his spot at the table, and put his lunch and backpack away where they go. . . and totally acted like I wasn't even there! WOW, Mr. Independent!!!!!!!!! So I decided I better go, kissed him good bye and reminded him where to meet me after school. I am very proud to say that I didn't even cry, I think having him go all August for a few hours really prepared me for this day. Connor has grown up way to fast!! Gotta love him though.

There are times when if you asked me I would tell you that I need another girl in my house. Three little boys and a husband who can act just like my other boys, can be a little much. But don't get me wrong ... I LOVE my boys!! Anyways, the other night Connor and Wyatt had walked into the kitchen and I could hear them getting into the silverware drawer. So I was curious and I found them trying to hand spoons on their noses. Where do boys come up with these things??

The next day while the boys were playing and I was baking cookies, I could hear Parker "pretend" crying. So I glanced around the corner and this is what I found . . .

Parker was pretending to be put into the corner and crying at the same time. It was so hilarious. Connor and Wyatt couldn't stop laughing!! Times like this I love having boys and wouldn't change them for anything.

24th of July

Sunday was the 24th of July and the only way to celebrate it is with the 3 F's : Food, Family & Fireworks! I can't think of a better way to do this. We had my family and Hailee's in laws over for dinner and talked. To add to the fun we gave the boys a few water balloons and my bro in law was a good sport and let them throw the balloons at him. Jared's parents then brought "pop-its" for the boys and they had a blast (this is one of their favorite things to do). As it got darker we moved to the front yard and Jason, Jared and my dad lit off all the fireworks. All-in-all we had had a great evening!!!

Swimming Lessons

Connor and Wyatt were able to take swimming lessons this summer for the first time ever. I'll be honest that I was nervous that Wyatt wouldn't actually get into the water but he did great!! So proud of both my boys. They were able to take the class together (even though I think Connor could have been up one class ahead, but we kept them together to help Wyatt). They loved being able to go to the pool and swim around. Now they want to keep going but honestly I am glad they are done. Getting three kids and myself out of the house by 8:30 or so, is so not easy, especially not every day! Here are a few pictures of their final day at swim lessons...

Working on the Four Wheeler

A few weeks ago while at the property, Jason "flooded" his 4wheeler while crossing the water. He was able to get it started again and drove it back to camp however when he took the boys down to the pond, he wasn't able to restart it. So once he got home that weekend, he took the 4wheeler apart to fix it. It took about 3 weeks or so to completely fix the problem. I'll just give you a bit of an idea of what was wrong. When he drained all the oil out of it, the oil looked a lot like milk. Oil is supposet to be brown/black in color not white!!! That alone took the longest. So while he was working on that he decided to put I think it's called a snorkle on his 4wheeler so he would be able go in water without this happening again. He did a GREAT job on it and I think it looks like it could have been created by a professional!!!

A couple times during the summer we get to go over the Hailee and Jared's pool and go swimming. We went last week and had a lot of fun, even my mom and Janessa came. Wyatt didn't go swimming much, I think he was afraid, so he mainly sat in the water on the stairs. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we all can't wait to go again.

The 4th of July is always a fun holiday for us. It is always jammed packed with things to do, but who doesn't love FIREWORKS??!! The night before the 4th, I made cupcakes for our bbq we have each year. But I can never do simple, I had to make it look cute which always seems to take longer that it should. So I made the cupcakes into 2 flags.

Most of Jason's family attended the Kaysville parade. OUr family was the one in all red! Everyone wore red shirts (even my in-law's neighbors did too). The girls also made patriotic earrings to wear (thanks Jamie). Every year we go to this towns parade but usually we stand on the "main" street. This year however Elaine (my mother in law) and Bonnie chose a different part which ended up being on the road where the parade first starts. Let me just say that I would LOVE to sit here again next year. Usually the kids never get any candy because on main street it is so crowded and the kids get depressed because they don't get anything. However this year where we stood there werent' tons of kids and the boys loved it!! It totally helped that Michelle and Levi helped the boys a ton and I was able to sit on the grass with Parker and enjoyed the parade!!!

Garden

This is our second offical year growing a garden. Before last year we only grew pumpkins in our front yard. Last year for our first attempt at growing a garden was a success, my mom gave us peas, our neighbor gave us three tomato plants and two different kinds of potatos. This year I decided to put the garden in two boxes and plant. So I went and bought stuff to grow that our family eats on a regular basis. Tomatoes, red, green, and yellow peppers, cantalope, watermellon, pumpkin, cucumbers, and jalapeno peppers. However I don't think the mellon and pumpkin plants made it. We had a surprise snow fall like a week or so after everything was planted. So I'll have to go to the store and buy some replacements. After planting all the plants we soon realized that the boys new favorite place to dig and play toys is in the garden area, and Molly liked to lay in them too. Jason soon came up with the idea to put a little picket fence around my garden that will keep everyone out but me. Jason and the boys spent a saturday afternoon building this for me . . . here are a few pics.

Meet Molly

Just a few new pictures of our dog Molly. She is a mix of husky/lab/australian shepard and she is beautiful!! She will be one on July 4th (yes she's a patriotic puppy). She has eyes that are split brown/blue and its very unique. Jason has been working with her on all her tricks: sit, stay, shake, stand, and lay. He's done great with her. She is a part of the family and really protects the boys. Just an example is one afternoon Connor was riding his bike around the cul-de-sac and a neighbors dog (who is not friendly) got out and started to go after Connor. Molly just happened to be out front with Jason and noticed. You have to understand that Molly typically doesn't go away from Jason (unless there's a cat) when she is out front. Anyways, Molly immediately took off after Connor to protect him and growled and barked at the other dog until it left. Then Molly went right back to our driveway to watch. This happened once more and Molly did the same thing. Needless to say, the other dog has not bothered Connor since. We absolutely love Molly!!

Concrete

Jason has recently done some cool things with concrete so I thought I'd post some pics of stuff he's done. The first three are of a shower floor that he helped a guy in our ward do. It turned out great and he only had a few things that didn't go well. Like when he was mixing the product he had it in a LARGE plastic tub thing and when they used the handmixer to mix it all, it broke. Water went everywhere but luckily it was saved by putting it in a wheelbarrow. He learned a lot by doing this and is excited to do some new things around our house.

For my sister's birthday this year, my bro-in-law asked if i would make the cake. I was going to make a big shoe cake, but then i started looking at all the examples and decided that i am just not that great at cake decorating. I am only a beginner, who am i kidding??!!! So I found an idea online and here is the cake i did (i know it's sideways, sorry, it's the only way to fit for the pic)

It's three flowers but I bet what you couldn't tell is that it is all cupcakes!! Not bad for my first bday cake i thought!!

For Wyatt's bday this year we combined it with his cousin River also. Wyatt and River are only 10 days apart in age. So we invited everyone over and had a "carnival" themed party. We set up games which included: donut eating, ring toss, bean bag toss, football throw, and fishing. We gave tickets to each game won and the kids redeemed the tickets in for prizes. We also had a lion pinata tha the kids seemed to enjoy. To go along with the carnival we had hot dogs, watermelon, and chips. It turned into a great afternoon and everyone had fun!!

I'll have to get the rest of the pictures from my sister (my camera wasn't charged and died) so I will pot them once i get them too.

This year we decided to sign Connor up for T-ball. He is having a lot of fun and seems to enjoy it. His first game was on the 16th (because the week before the games were rained out). He had fun when it was time to bat, but he had a hard time when it came to being out in the field. The ball never got to him, so he got bored and decided to sit down and watch!! By the second time he was in the outfield, he learned to chase after the ball (even if it didn't come to him) and he got to do something besides standing there. So we will see how all the other games go then we'll know weather or not he'll want to play t-ball next year.

Last sunday for Family Home Evening we decided that since it was really windy that we'd head to the park and do the ONE thing the boys have been dying to do. Fly Kites!! They were so excited once they saw the kites being put together. So we loaded up and headed to the park just a few streets a way. It was perfect weather for flying kites. Parker tried flying his on his own, but kept letting go and it'd fly away by itself. Connor loved flying his "bumblebee" kite while Wyatt had a "Batman" kite.

Okay so I decided that taking pictures of all three of my boys is SO NOT EASY. While the weather was good, we all took advantage of it by going to the Layton City park. The boys love this park and were excited to FINALLY go outside and run wild!! My mom and sister Hailee joined us in the fun. This was Parkers first time going to the park since he started walking and he went everywhere possible! It was a fun afternoon for all.

Wilton Cake Decorating Class

This past month I have been taking a Wilton Cake Decorating class at Michaels craft store with my mother-in-law. I've seen the ads for these classes a lot at various stores and always wanted to take one. Jason was going to sign me up for this class as a mother's day gift a few years ago, but decided on something else instead. My mother-in-law signed us both up for the class and we started the beginning of March. It was a four week class and I actually learned quiet a bit. I've always liked trying to do different cakes for my boys birthdays (like a lego or pirates hat) but they never turned out the way I wanted them to. Now I know what frosting to make and how to frost it without the cake crumbling in the frosting. So after about 8 lbs of powdered sugar and LOTS of buttercream frosting, I can now make roses, other flowers, stars, a soccer ball, filled cupcakes and more. I learned so much but I am also glad it's over because I have never made so much frosting in my life and all over a four week period!!! The first class was decorating cookies with like stars and things however I didn't get any pictures. The second week was a round cake, putting a filling in the middle and frosting it. Then putting one of the pictures we had in the kits we bought on top. Here's a few pictures.

This the cake i did in class. It was a red velvet cake with a cream cheese filling. However I was all packed up to leave and had the cake in it's carrying case and was heading out the door when the case bottom fell off and my whole cake ended up on the floor. YES, on the floor splattered everywhere. That is so something that would happen to me!!

This chocolate cake is my mother-in-laws. She did a great job!!

This is my 2nd cake which I decorated once I got home. I don't like it as much as my first one but I only had two colors to work with (pink and yellow). But it still turned out cute.

The third week we learned to put filling in cupcakes and frosting the tops. Then we were taught a few different flowers and to make leafs. The pink one is I believe called a shaggy mum (not my favorite) and the blue pom pom flower. This was Jason's favorite class because he loved the cupcakes. He ate all but two that night.

The fourth and final class was our graduation cakes and we had to come to class with a frosted cake. I made a white cake and filled the middle with a cream cheese filling (Jason likes this filling). Then we learned how to write on cakes (both printing and cursive) and to make roses. Needless to say, roses aren't the easiest to learn. But after like 20 roses,I finally some what got the hang of it. So I put 4 roses on my cake and put a border around the bottom and called it good.

So in the end I learned quiet a bit and can't wait to decorate a cool cake for Wyatt's 4th birthday in May. Just as long as it isn't anything too hard.

Jason bought a chainsaw and literally couldn't wait to use it. Any of you that know Jason, you know he's this way with anything new. Like if he buys new shoes he has to wear them imediatly, the same with clothes. He's like a kid on christmas morning when he gets something new. It's fun!! Anyways, he immediatly went to work chopping done a bunch of the Quakie trees we have in our yard. Now we are 4 trees less. He can't wait to do more.

Give your child real toys and soon they discover to use them on EVERYTHING in the house. They started on all their toys by taking them all apart and quickly moved on to all the door hinges and door stopper things. The things boys will do!

Also, while Jason slept one day on the couch, Parker decided his dad could use lots of tissues. This is only when Parker started putting tissues on him. I wish I would have taken another picture of Jason with like 20 tissues on him without waking up once!!

For Connor's 5th birthday we surprised him by having the entire family and his friend Britain come to Boondocks Fun Center for bowling and arcade games. This is is favorite place to go. He was so glad everyone came and received a ton of presents he was so excited for.

Then for Parker's 1st birthday we celebrated it at our house. I don't really think he knew what was going on, but he really enjoyed being able to eat a large chocolate chip cookie for his birthday. We love being able to get family together.

Family Fun Night

We recently took the boys out for a "Family Fun Night". We told them it was a surprise and they would have to wait to see where we were going. We pulled into Boondocks and Connor yells "YES! Dad I have wanted you to go bowling forever!" It was too cute. They were way excited. We asked them what they wanted to do and of course Connor says play games and Wyatt wants to go bowling. They never want to do the same thing. Oh well!! So we started out playing games and trying to win games. They absolutely loved this part. After that we went and played one game of bowling. We had our own cheering section with Connor and Wyatt each time someone started bowling. It was a fun night out as a Family and we can't wait to do it again. Here's a few pictures.

New Year's Fun

We went to Jason's Aunts house for New Years day (it's a tradition, that we love). We typically go sledding, shooting, catch up with family and eat a ton. This year Kevin brought some guns up and some balloon targets. This was so much fun! We all took turns shooting at, I believe, 12 targets from the back of a four wheeler. We also had contests. I can't wait til next year. We mainly took video of all this, but i managed to get a few pictures of us in the snow.

Small project, turns HUGE!!

A couple of weekends ago, Jason and I decided to retile our bathroom, since Home Depot (love that place) was having a huge bathroom sale. So we bought the tile and started tearing out the old tile. We thought that this would be a small simple project, but OH WERE WE WRONG! Turns out that there was a leak somewhere and we ended up tearing out the floor down to the subflooring. My parents came over to help also. Dad helped remove the flooring, mom helped carry the discarded things out. We ended up having to turn the water off, and were left without water. So we no longer could stay at the house. I think we ended up staying at my parents for like two nights. Jason worked hard to get the tile down, and sealed so we could get the water back on and stay at our house again. I haven't taken the final pictures of the bathroom (new flooring, paint, sink, mirror, light, etc.) yet but will get those immediately so you can see the difference.

Halloween craft fun

So I decided it was time to do a fun activity for all my boys to do. let me tell you, 3 kids + 1 mom + paint = way too hard!! I saw this idea online or maybe in a magazine, so I thought we'd try it. They are handprint ghosts. I even managed to get Parker's handprints on the 7 that we made. The boys had a blast laughing and getting their hand painted, and writing their names. All in all it turned out pretty cute.

Parker's handprint is up top and Connor and Wyatt's are on the bottom. Have a "ghostly" Halloween!!

Reward System

A couple months ago I decided that I needed to teach Connor and Wyatt to earn things. Everytime we would walk into a store, they would expect to be bought something. I really didn't want them thinking this way. So I came up with a point/reward system. I found these little foam spheres at Target for $1 and bought two bags. I filled one large canning jar full of them and labeled in "Points". Then I made one jar with each of the boys' names on it. Then on the fridge I put the point system up. Some things they do to earn points are: make bed- 1 point

brush teeth- 1 point

put dishes in dishwasher- 1 point

practice writing- 1 point

practice abc's- 1 point

Feed Molly- 1 point

clean playroom- 5 points

etc.

So each time they do something, they get to add a point to their jar. Then once they fill their jar completely, they get to choose one thing out of the baskest that I have sitting behind their jars as something they earned. Things I put in it all came from dollar bins at Target, such as bubbles, coloring books, markers, balls, socks, etc. It's all stuff they they really want. Here's a pic below.

This Point/rewards system has worked great. The boys work hard to fill it out. I've also learned that if they fight, a good way to get them to stop (besides timeout) is that they have to take a point out of their jar for not being good. This limits the fighting for the most part because they don't want to have to take a point out. Just an idea that i've found handy!

Family water ballon fight & baseball game

About a week ago, Connor and Wyatt invited the family over for a water balloon fight and a baseball game. So everyone came with balloons and were prepared to get wet. The boys had such fun being able to throw the balloons at everyone (and not get in trouble). Even all the adults had fun (especially my dad!). After the balloon fight, we played a game of baseball, threw frisbee and ended the night with cookies (thanks to hailee and Jared) and ice cream for dessert. Now all I hear is how Connor and Wyatt want to have another water balloon fight. We'll have to plan another one soon.

As a family we tend to go 4-wheeling a lot. With Jason gone in Wyoming the past two months for a week at a time, the weekends are family time. So Jason and I go out together (thanks to my family for watching the boys) and then sometimes Jason and the two older boys have a guys day out (and let mom rest). I love my husband!!!

Summer Fun Part 1

Treehouse Museum Fun!

Today we took all the kids (and Janessa, haha) to the treehouse museum in ogden. It was really fun, so many different rooms to go explore in. The only downside to it all is they don't allow strollers in the whole thing if your child is awake in it. Oh well!!! All the kids really enjoyed it, Connor started to cry because we had to leave. Easter weekend was a busy weekend for us. We started it off at Jason's parents house where they had a dinner and had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. The boys loved all they got from everyone. We then went to a BBQ at our friends house later that night and had a blast. Sunday, the boys got up to see what the Easter bunny left in their baskets. Jason went four wheeling with Dave and Bobby. I took the boys to my parents for breakfast and to watch conference. Later, Jason came over and we had a family dinner. After which the boys had an Easter egg hunt, and they found all but one egg. All the adults looked for the missing egg and to this day it still has not been located. Here are a few pictures from Easter

Here's a few pictures of the boys in their new jeep. We found this jeep at the DI for $20, and Jason put a lawn mower battery in it. I know, that sounds kinda scary, but in actuality its not. It last longer than the battery that is suppose to go in it. The boys absolutely love this. It was a great DI find!!

A few weeks ago, my mom, Hailee and I took Connor, Wyatt and Parker on their first ride on Front Runner to go to SLC. They absolutely loved riding it and at times going faster than the other cars. We took them to the clark Planetarium to look at all the things there and to do some shopping at the gateway. My dad also met us for lunch and the boys absolutely loved having him come too. They loved riding the Front runner and keep talking about "going on the fast train again".

Parker John Koyle was born on February 12th at 1:44 am. He was 8lbs. 4 oz. and was 20 1/4 inches long. It was a long labor of 18 hours, it was beginning to feel like he was never going to come. We joke about the reason it took him so long was because he didn't want to share his birthday with Jason and my anniversary so he had to wait til the 12th to have his own day. We are just so glad to have him with us. Here are a few pictures of him that I have downloaded. I'll try to post more soon.

Well, I just had my weekly doctor's checkup. I set my inducement date for Febrary 11th, if I don't go into labor befor that date. It seems so far away, but I know it will be here before i know it. Last week (on the 19th) I had an ultrasound where they checked the baby's weight and I was told he was 6 lbs 11 ounces already. So if they are close on the weight and I have 4 weeks till my due date ( which is the 18th), and babies are suppose to gain about 1lbs per week from now on, he could be almost 11lbs!! I really hope he isn't that big though. Connor was 8lbs3oz and Wyatt was 8lbs. So I am hoping this one will stay in that range. Cross your fingers!!

So I just thought I'd post letting family and friends know that I am being induced on the 11th (which also happens to be Jason and my 5th anniversary), unless he chooses to come sooner than that. We will keep everyone posted on his arrival.

Each year we go to Jason's Aunt Yvonne's house on New Years day and catch up with family and go sledding. We almost didn't go due to a possible snow storm, but last minute we all decided to drive up. OOPS! on the jobsite

This is what happened to Jason's truck today on the Jobsite in Park City. The framer manuvered wrong and the wood ended up in Jason's trucks windshield! I can't believe this happened!!!

Here's what the windshield looks like once the wood is removed. We need to replave the windshield and the hood of the truck. I never thought this would happen, but I guess you can never know when you work construction!! Thankfully no one was hurt and the truck was parked when it happened!!!!!

This just happens to be Jason's birthday also, so we're very interested in see when this little guy decides to come. Davis County Fair

This last Saturday, we were able to go to the Davis County Fair in Farmington. As a family we went with my parents and my sister Janessa. The first place we went was to the petting zoo. There were goats, cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, a donkey, ducks and geese. There was also a cow that could be milked but the line was long, and weren't able to. The boys enjoyed seeing all the animals. My mom tried to get the boys to pet a lot of the animals, but they were only brave enough to pet I think the cows when they weren't looking. They loved the animals cuz we've never been around farm animals hardly ever. So this was something new for them. Connor kept asking to go see the animals again and again, after we were done at the petting zoo.

After the petting farm, we walked through all the booths, and eventually made our way to the few rides they have. Connor boughts a few tickets with the money I handed him, and when he came back with them I was trying to split up the tickets, and looked up to see Wyatt headed up the steps with a dollar bill to go buy himself a ticket. I was so shocked cuz I didn't know where the money came from, then I remembered that Nana gave both boys a dollar for their piggy banks. So Wyatt thought he needed to use his money to buy his own ticket. It was so adorable, I wish I'd taken a picture of it. So here are two pics of the boys riding a train. It's the only ride I could get decent pictures of!

All in all it was a fun evening out as a family. The boys absolutely loved the fair, and can't wait to go again . . .

Family Fun on Sunday

My boys just love the swords that Nana has at her house. So when they get to go over and play, that's what Connor tends to grab. Then he comes running up the stairs to see who wants to "Finger Fight". He calls it that because we don't have swords at home, so we just use fingers. This past Sunday, they loved it more because Hailee's fiance, Jared, was there to play with them. Jared is more than willing to get on the ground and play with them. So here's a few picture of the boys playing.
